On, August 1st – 4th, 2018, we celebrated Todd’s 25th year owning The Patio Drive-In. We wanted to not only celebrate and congratulate Todd but create a celebration as a thank you to the community for its support over the years. Since the original business was established in 1954, we wanted to remember where we came from with a 50’s theme.
Our festivities included a Photo booth and cut out Root Beer Float, Todd, and Ice Cream Cone to take pictures in and a Prize Wheel where each customer could win a free item. Over the four days, we were able to give out over 440 tickets for free items won on the wheel.
We also had daily door prize drawings for Large Ice Cream Gift Baskets. Our Large Ice Cream Gift Baskets included all of the supplies needed for an ice cream sundae party including colorful straws, napkins, spoons, ice cream scoops, ice cream shaped plastic bowls, sundae toppings like fudge, caramel, and strawberry, sprinkles, and two quart tubs to be filled with whichever kind of ice cream you wanted. Our grand prize was a Google Home speaker.
Special thank you to the Medaryville American Legion Post 96 and to the Medaryville West Side Center for use of their spinning wheels, to all the Patio staff for the wonderful decorations, costumes, atmosphere and hard work.
